Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to an Italian Culinary Experience with Casa Vinicola Zonin wines and Circo NYC restaurant. It was held at The International Culinary Center in Soho.
I invited my friend Nachi, whom I knew would be the perfect guest for this event. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the lovely Jelena, Marketing & Communications Manager Zonin USA, and we began the night with a Prosecco.
The menu was amazing! It was a delicious assortment of Italian foods and Italian wines.
First course: Veal Tenderloin, Tuna Sause, Salsa Verde, Capers. I loved the amazing taste of these flavors. This plate was my favorite, especially paired with the first wine, Vermentino Calasole Rocca di Montemassi, IGT Maremma 2011.
Second Course: Del Verde Paccheri Pasta, Braised Duck, Butternut Squash, Mushrooms. Delicious with the Berengario Zonin. IGT Venezie 2008.

Third Course: Italian Style Tripe, Gratinated Artichokes, Bruschetta paired with Chianti Classico Le Ellere Castello d'Albola, DOCG Chianti Classico 2009.

Last and I would say best—I love desserts (in case you didn't know). Traditional Tiramisu, Mascarpone Cheese, Chocolate. It was AMAZING! It was served with a Rosato Castello del Poggio, IGT Pavia NV. Perfect!
At the end we were given a small bottle of Prosecco as a souvenir. Thank you to Zonin and Circo. It was a wonderful evening of flavors and amazing people!
