After the abundance of snow, freezing winds and cloudy days, this past Sunday was finally a "must enjoy the weather outdoors" kind of a day—at least for us New Yorkers. So the family and I headed to a much anticipated visit to Dominque Ansel Bakery, in the heart of Soho.

So why was this a much anticipated visit? Well, Dominique Ansel is the creator of the famous cronuts! What is a cronut, you ask? As it states in the website...The Cronut™ (yes it's trademarked!) is the unique pastry creation by Chef Dominique Ansel that many have described to be a croissant-doughnut hybrid.

After a long wait in line, I approached the counter and ordered. They were sold out! Of course they were. People stand in line for hours starting at 6am and I thought I would be able to go on a busy Sunday afternoon and just say "I'll take two, please".
