A Bit Rodarte, A Bit Magritte

I recently entered the Draw a Dot Rodarte Open Call, where nine fashion illustrations were selected. I was fortunate to be one of the nine selections (as seen here), so I wanted to share it with you!

I was inspired but the amazing surrealist artist, Magritte. The Rodarte SS 2019 collection was such a beautiful and whimsical presentation, that I thought it would go perfect with a bit of surrealism. Don't you think?

Fashion Loves Art {Magritte}

If you know me, you know that two of my passions are art and fashion. And when you have a collaboration between Opening Ceremony, Manolo Blahnik, Vans, Birkenstock and Belgian artist Magritte, to me that equals perfection. Although this collection has been out since May I hadn't visited the store, so this past weekend my sister and I decided to head to Opening Ceremony in Soho. A look at those Manolo Blahniks (featuring the Sheherazade, 1950) and I was in love...

What I love about Opening Ceremony is its unique and eccentric aesthetic. It houses "cool" designers and has its own collection as well. Comme des Garcons, Rodarte, Proenza Schouler and Alexander Wang, to name a few, along with unknown designers.
