A few of weeks ago I was fortunate to attend Alt Summit. Have you heard of it? It's a conference for creative entrepreneurs, social media influencers and bloggers. It's usually held in Salt Lake City, but this year it was at The Saguaro hotel in beautiful, sunny Palm Springs!
The location was amazing, so I was super excited. The hotel is fun (look at that Barbie display below!), colorful and just gives you that boost of energy that you need in a conference. As a visual person, I thought it was perfect!
The first night was the opening party at the pool! It was sooo much fun, we ate, drank and were able to meet a lot of new friends. We had a blast! One of the best parts was getting to share it all with my sister, Marybel. Yay!
The classes were bright and early. There were sessions about creativity, video, monetizing, modeling, social media, accounting, blogging, business, and much more. The days were packed and non stop. I wished I had had a chance to attend all classes, but many were held at the same time. Everyday was filled with a variety of amazing speakers, information, networking and many many inspiring stories!
My favorite part of the speakers was that they shared how they got to where they are now. All the hustle, the falls, the successes and they had a lot of stories and encouragement from their personal trial and error. It was empowering to hear these people share that they too had to walk a journey (sometimes through rocks) to make it. Truly inspiring!
When you're at a conference in Palm Springs, lunch is "al fresco"! It was so great to enjoy our lunches outside. I mean, it was the beginning of February and it was warm and sunny! We also got a chance to network and check out all the amazing sponsors.
The Closing Keynote speaker was Todd Oldham. I had been a fan of him since he was a fashion designer, but I had never heard him speak. He was filled with inspiration and lots of wisdom—looved his talk (plus it was poolside with coffee and churros!)
Alt was a very creative, informative and fun conference. I could talk about it for days!
It was my first time attending and I can definitely say that I would love to return! I met a lot of great, inspiring and creative entrepreneurs. And to be surrounded by like minded people, that inspire you, is amazing!
Thanks for following along!
