Today we are honoring the legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta (Jul 22, 1932 – Oct 20, 2014). Born in the Dominican Republic, he was a true artist who became well known for dressing women like Jackie Kennedy. He began began his career working for Lanvin and Balmain and was trained by Balenciaga. Today his designs grace celebrities as well as royalty. Here are a few looks from his Spring 2015 collection.
This past weekend we visited the New York Botanical Garden. It was our first time and we definitely wanted to visit before the cold arrives. I had no idea how huge it is, 250 acres of amazing beautiful nature!
After living in the city for so long, you sometimes forget how relaxing and gorgeous it is to just walk around nature. Time flew and we felt like we were a thousand miles away....
One of the exhibits we visited was the Haunted Pumpkin Garden. Of course, Duo was super excited when he saw so many pumpkins in one place. It was so much fun!
It was the perfect time to visit. The trees were covered in beautiful Fall colors. I'm really glad we got a chance to go before the Winter, but we're already planning to return for their holiday exhibits.
