One place that we kept on putting on hold, since moving to NYC, was Katz's Deli in the Lower East Side. A few days ago we knew it was time to see what all the buzz was all about and headed to the "oh so famous, must see while in NYC" spot.

The place is exactly what you would expect from a NYC deli. Lots of tables and hundreds of pictures on the wall of celebrities that had sat (maybe) exactly where we were sitting.

Of course, when at Katz's Deli you must order the pastrami sandwich, which it's famous for (as you can below). Oh my! Seriously, can they even add more pastrami to it? As much as I'm not a pastrami fan, I must admit that it was delicious!

Many of you, (if you're old enough or watch old 80s movies) might remember Katz's Deli from the famous movie scene in the 1989 movie "When Harry Met Sally". And the quote that made it even more famous: "I'll have what she's having." (picture of Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal below)

I think that Katz's Deli is a must experience while in NYC. It's been open since 1888—a true NYC classic!

This is one of the reasons I love NYC! One day you're having exquisite macarons at Ladurée in Soho and the next you're enjoying an amazing pastrami sandwich in the Lower East Side....

Summer Nights & Days

There's no way to predict the weather, it's been a bit crazy here in NYC. One day it's a gorgeous Spring day and then the next two days it's raining. What I do know is that soon it will be very hot and Summer will be upon us.

Here are two looks for those soon to be hot Summer days and nights. 

A perfect way to welcome the hot weather is with a maxi dress that can be worn anywhere from a lunch date to an afternoon of shopping, wear it with a pair of very stylish Loeffler Randall sandals, a beautiful blue Clare Vivier bag, a perfect tassel necklace and the perfect shade of Bobbi Brown lipstick.

For a summery night out, a black Cynthia Steffe dress, a gorgeous pair of Loeffler Randall sandals, some hot red-orange Marc Jacobs lipstick, a pair of statement Baublebar earrings and a Hawaiian print Rebecca Minkoff bag—perfect!

The Meaning of Life

Pablo Picasso couldn't have said it better. We all come to this life with a gift, and it's different for everyone. It is our mission and "meaning" to find it. 

Once we do, it will come naturally to want to share it and give it away. That's the nature of finding our purpose, because our gift comes with a lot of passion and love and how can we keep it to ourselves?

Inspiration: Will Cotton Artist

Today's inspiration is the art of Will Cotton. He's an American artist that is known for amazing paintings filled with pastries, candy and melting ice cream. He was also the Artistic Director for Katy Perry's 2010 music video, California Gurls and his painting Cotton Candy Katy (as seen at the end), a painting of Katy Perry, was also used as cover art on her album, Teenage Dream. Enjoy!

Viktor & Rolf's new fragrance definitely has a very pretty packaging. Don't you love that bottle?

The stripes of the Estée Lauder mascara give it a sleek and classic design and the beauty of that Lancôme mascara is the simplicity of the branding—no need for any text makes it perfect.

A compact in gold by Estée Lauder is not only beautiful but I love that it's part of a zodiac collection. The collaboration between Alber Elbaz and Lancôme is almost too pretty to use and that eyeliner by Clé de Peau Beauté has a very bold and mysterious look to it that I love!
