One of the most amazing things about life is that we're all unique. No matter what you aspire to be, want to become, where you are going, it will always be in a unique way.

There is no one like us—inside and out. That's the true beauty of it all, because what you have to offer has never been offered before. That's how important we all are and why we should all treat each other with respect and love. 

 

We are ALL one of a kind. We ALL leave a unique mark. 

 

As Dr. Seuss says, "there is no one alive who is you-er than you!".

BeautyCon NYC

This past Saturday I attended BeautyCon NYC, a conference for Beauty and Fashion online influencers. It had previously been hosted in London and Los Angeles and this was its first year here in New York.

It was a day of networking, information and fun! There were many fashion and beauty brands, booths and online and TV celebrities. I met up with fellow bloggers, Josephina of Josephina Collection, Rhea of Sew Stylish Rhea and Jia of Catwalk Chic (as you can see below).

If you wanted a peek into the world of editorial beauty and fitness, the experts of Elle magazine were giving one-on-one mentoring sessions. Fun, right?

I also got to meet Wendy of Wendy's Lookbook. I love her blog but I mostly love her inspiring story. She is so sweet and lovely. It was definitely great to be surrounded by so many inspiring people!

Summer Sunglasses Galore

 

The days are getting very sunny and that means that we must stock up on sunglasses! Here are a variety that are stylish, fun and will make evey outfit fashionable.

My favorites are the Heidi London (two), Karen Walker (four) and the Dior (six). They're pretty similar in style but the Karen Walker pair is my favorite! I do think that the clear Karen Walker (three), lavender Karen Walker (five} and the Tory Burch (eight) are definitely fun and colorful. Great for all the summer clothes or to make any outfit stand out!

Change Ourselves

We all want to be in control of our lives, but sometimes things just happened that we are not able to change. 

When we concentrate too much on what happened, why it happened and how it can be changed, without any change taking place, it might just be time to look at ourselves.

What can we do about ourselves?

Well, we have many options. We can look into changing "how" we see it. We can look for the lesson. We can let it go. 

Any of these options will clear the path to being able to move on and not be stuck in a bad situation. It's not easy, but it's worth the challenge. 

 

You can't change others or some situations, but you can always change yourself.

Inspiration: Christian Faur Artist

Today's inspiration is from American artist Christian Faur. Although he utilizes many mediums to create his paintings, today I am showing you an amazing technique he applies—the use of crayons. Instead of using the crayons to color, as we all did as children, he uses each one as a pixel in his portraits.
