Happy Halloween: Pumpkin Patch

On Monday we headed on a family adventure to Alstede Farm in Chester, New Jersey. It was a beautiful day filled with smiles, animal feeding and lots of pumpkins!

Duo is obsessed with animals, and besides our cat, the city dogs, pigeons and the occasional squirrel he doesn't get to see and feed many animals, so when we fed the goats he was super happy!

It was so much fun to see him be free, run and explore. It was definitely a different experience for him from the city. He's really a city boy!

I love that picture of him as a bee below. Isn't it cute? After running around for a while we hopped on the hayride and headed to the pumpkin patch.

This was also my first time to a pumpkin patch. Brian thinks it's crazy that I'd never been to one. Well, he grew up in what he likes to call a "property" with animals in Washington State. I grew up in the suburbs of Southern California and the city life of Buenos Aires, so having animals other than cats and dogs in your backyard to me is a farm. Period. Right, Duo?

A World of Glamour and Joan

Joan Crawford might have been described in many good and bad ways but one description that always fit her well was elegant!

To create a look inspired by Joan, let's begin with an amazing pair of Topshop snake print pumps, a Zara midi in grey and add some glamour with that amazing faux fur Nanette Lepore coat!

A statement necklace from Bauble Bar will add the necessary glamour. Red Ives Saint Laurent lipstick and of course you cannot forget to finish the look with the perfect pair of eyebrows with the help of Anastasia Beverly Hills' kit!

Lucky FABB NYC: 10/2013

This past week I attended Lucky Magazine's Lucky FABB, a fashion and beauty blog conference here in NYC, packed with two days of knowledge, fashion, beauty, style, and lots of fun! 

DAY ONE: New York Time Center

There were many speakers and day one included Eva Chen, Editor in Chief of Lucky Magazine, style bloggers such as Bryanboy, and celebrities. Among the celebrities was Eva Mendes! (love her!) It was amazing to hear her and Eva Chen have a style conversation. She spoke about her own style, her fashion line with New York & Company and how Gina Lollobrigida was one of her style inspirations. Below you can see her and Eva Chen (wearing an outfit from her new collection).

Our lunch included a variety of delicious options. I chose the Fusion Vegetarian, which was really good! 

Dessert was a selection of fruits and delicious sweets! I, of course had a bit of everything. During lunch I also headed to the Brand Experience, which included brands such as Paige, Lagos, Charming Charlie, P&G Beauty, Fabletics, Nintendo, Shopsense by Shopstyle and Covet Fashion. There were gifts, goodie bags and more sweets! So much fun!

After lunch we had a few more amazing speakers from companies such as Instagram, Kate Spade New York, Donna Karen International and FarFetch. Our second celebrity guest speaker was Kate Bosworth! I had never heard her speak and I was amazingly surprised. She was not only incredibly nice but also very intelligent and poised. I loved her! She spoke about her new fashion line with Topshop (which she is wearing below), her recent marriage and a bit about her style. 

If that wasn't enough already after hours included a cocktail reception with hor d'oeuvres and drinks, where we got to meet the Lucky Magazine editors.
