Yes, finally!
Brian and I have been together for eight years and we got engaged in the summer of 2007! Yes, six years ago!! So after many, many years we finally decided that it was time.
I was living in Las Vegas and at the time we met I was planning to move to NYC by myself, so I was not looking to meet anybody. But of course, destiny had other plans...
We met at a friend's party and fell in love immediately. So after a few months I asked him to move to NYC with me. He said yes. From that moment our lives have been one amazing adventure after another!
Before moving here to NY we thought it would be the perfect time to travel. So we took a 40 day trip around Asia. It was aaamazing! We went to Japan, China, Thailand and India. When we arrived in Phuket, Thailand he surprised me with a song he had written and proposed to me on the beach at sunset. And then he proposed again in Mumbai, India. (I'll tell you the long version in another post) It was incredibly romantic!
So why did we wait so long to get married?
We returned from our trip and started planning our move to NYC. Once we arrived here we opened our business, settled in to city life and eventually had our beautiful baby, Duo. Time just flew by, but we never stopped talking about it.
One day we sat down and decided to just get married and not wait any longer. And so here we are today. It'll be a small and intimate fall wedding and our closest friends and family will be here with us. It will be as special and amazing as it deserves to be. We are in love and we are celebrating in style!
I'm super excited and happy!!!!! So that's what I've been up to lately. Planning, and having a lot fun along the way.
