My grandmother was a very strong, tough lady. She was very strict, disciplined and also (unknown to her) very wise. She was the oldest of seventeen brothers and sisters, therefore she was also like a "mother" at a very young age. She was in charge, and that's how she lived all her 95 years of life.
One thing she would always say is: "Saying and doing." That was her way of being. She would tell us that if we said we were going to do something, we should begin to do it immediately. Not tomorrow, not later, but NOW!
It never really hit me, until an older age, what wise words these were...
Say and do. Simple and clear. Live life right now.
Amazing, right? If we don't start immediately we give our fears and mind a change to "rethink why it might not be a good idea" or "why we can't" or "tomorrow when everything is perfect".
What do you think? I think I'm going to plan my weekend...now!
Have a great weekend!
