My all time favorite living artist is Mark Ryden. He is an American artist born in Medford, Oregon and currently living in Los Angeles, California. He is an amazing artist who has had exhibits in galleries and museums throughout the world. His art is a mix of childhood scenarios and hidden mysterious that play with the human mind.
He began as a commercial artist and created art for album covers such as Michael Jackson's Dangerous, Red Hot Chili Peppers' One Hot Minute, and Aerosmith's Love in an Elevator. And also book covers including Stephen King's novel Desperation and The Regulators.
Below you can see him in his studio and also a glimpse of a painting in session. What an amazing space! I find his work inspiring, intruiging and phenomenal. He is a true artist to really look up to.
I have been to many of his exhibits and book signings and have even traveled to see his work, and it has always been an amazing experience. I've purchased almost all his books and own a few of his signed prints. Yes, a true fan! Duo even got to meet him and his lovely wife, artist Marion Peck.
My dream is to one day own one of his paintings...you never know, right?
Thanks for joining me!
