On Saturday we headed to the OC! We have a lot of family there, so we got to spend Mother's Day with my aunt and cousins. Sunday morning my cousins Alicia and Aly had prepared an amazing brunch, which included omelette, fresh fruit, croissants and yummy mimosas. My aunt and I were first to sign up!
It was really nice to see my cousins and aunt, they finally got to meet Duo. We live so far so I was super happy to see everyone! Below I'm with my cousins Alicia (the chef) and Brenda.
Monday morning we got up and off we went to visit my aunt and uncle in Temecula. My aunt had prepared some delicious lunch for us. Yum!
After lunch my uncle took us on a tour of the wineries. It was beautiful and a huge change of scenery from the concrete jungle we live in! It was really great to spend the day there.
That evening we were back on the road heading to Aliso Viejo. Guess what? More yummy food awaited! Cousin Oscar, who is an amazing chef, had made an Argentine barbeque (asado). Soo good!
I wish we could've had a longer stay! Our last day we drove back to L.A. and back to the beach, this time it was Santa Monica. So beautiful!
After a few hours at the beach we took a walk in Santa Monica, had ice cream and then drove back to LAX for our flight home.
It was such a great trip. We had a blast spending time with family, the beach, parks, museums and wineries of Southern California.
