An artist that I have always admired is Marybel Martin. She is an American artist, born in Southern California and presently living in Beaverton, Oregon. Her art has a childlike aesthetic, but is filled with deep emotions and messages.
She is a self taught artist and has been part of many exhibits in places such as Tokyo, Japan; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Los Angeles, California and Portland, Oregon.
She uses her childhood travels as an inspiration to her art. Art has always been a part of her life, she has been known to say that she could always escape to other places with the stroke of her pencil.
Below is her studio where she spends many hours creating the magical characters and worlds that live in her imagination.
