Coconut water is everywhere to be found. It comes in different packaging, flavors and sizes. Is this a trend or are there really benefits to coconut water? I would say yes, there are benefits.
Here are a few of the reasons I drink coconut water:
- hydrates naturally
- rich in fiber
- provides energy
- high potassium and mineral content
- vitamins, electrolytes and helps with alkalizing your system
- aids digestion, helps with diabetes (low sugar content) and lowers blood sugar level
- natural (in its natural state it has been used as an intravenous fluid and saved lives)
Did you know that one symptom of dehydation is fatigue? Next time you're feeling tired, instead of reaching for coffee or an "energy drink" try some coconut water.
Not only does it keep you hydrated but it also tastes great! Who knows, maybe you'll get hooked....
