One of our favorite things to do as a family, is to wander around the city and sample the food. This time we decided to visit Doughnut Plant. It was freezing, but that didn't stop us. So we put on our heavy coats and headed towards the Lower East Side.
They have the most amazing doughnuts. We ordered the peanut butter and blackberry jam, tres leches, chocolate hazulnut doughseed and coconut cream. By far, my favorite was the tres leches. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back.
The place is small and cozy but has big windows that are great for people watching—or dog watching as Duo was doing. In the picture below you can see he spotted a doggie. Sorry Duo, we are not getting a puppy.
We ended up taking a couple of the doughnuts home. Duo was ready to go, but Brian and I could have stayed and eaten everything. In the end he was super happy because he got to go to the playground. Look at that smile!
